You connect the slave to the Master with a special cord. Then you connect the Master to a traditional power outlet. You install the master and the slave in the diagonal of your seat (near each side). You turn the ignition key to power the device (green light). You adjust (or not) the UV treatment time with the + and – keys. When you are ready to leave the room, push the key to the right. The timer will start with an acoustic signal (one beep per second) and you have 20 seconds to leave the room. If the presence detectors of the slave and the master do not detect any movement in the room, the UV lights will turn on successively. During the treatment, you are informed by the wireless remote control of the countdown. The remote control is also equipped with a small red light allowing to forbid the access to the cabinet by putting it on the door or its frame. This remote control can also allow you to make an emergency stop if someone enters the room. The 4 presence detectors instantly interrupt the UV. You will be able to resume the treatment by forcing the key on the right again, triggering the 20-second countdown.

No air purification system by ventilation + UVC, even with a high flow rate, can have a very fast decontamination effect: indeed, the air treated by the device is remixed with the polluted air (mixing), and the whole air must thus pass several times in the system to be purified. The minimum action time is estimated at 30 minutes if the flow rate is equivalent to 40 times the volume (m3) of your practice. In addition, untreated air pockets may persist in some areas.

In addition, these systems do not treat surfaces or the floor. Therefore, only the UVmastercare system is sufficient since the UV-C lamps allow both a direct and efficient purification of the ambient air and a total disinfection of the floors and surfaces in a much shorter time (3 minutes for 16m2).

Based on 15 years of expertise in UV-C technologies, our team has selected the type of UV-C technology: low pressure amalgam 172w. This allows us to offer a device that performs better than competing systems.

UV is very dangerous, especially for the eyes. It is therefore totally inadvisable to be present in the room during the few minutes of operation of the device. Our engineers have put in place several measures to avoid accidental exposure:

  • Countdown timer at startup
  • 4x presence detectors distributed on the two supports
  • A clearly visible and accessible “Panic” button.
  • The small red light of the remote control can be placed on the door. Nevertheless, if someone accidentally enters the cabinet during treatment, the motion detectors instantly turn off all the lights. (And an alert on internet and GSM can be launched).
  • UV detectors at the foot of each tube allow to confirm the good control of the tubes by the system.
Some plastics and polymers can indeed be discolored or become fragile after long use, such as after exposure to the sun. We have studied the impact of our UVC on materials found in a dental office in the laboratory, and the results are encouraging and do not appear to damage most materials.

There is no specific maintenance.
Yes, you just need to put a reusable textile gown on a hanger, and it will be totally disinfected during the treatment of the practice. You just have to be careful not to put it in a screen between one of the devices and a surface that must imperatively be treated.
Yes, each device is equipped with wheels and is very easy to move, for example to another room while the practice is busy with a patient.

Yes, once the door is closed, there is no risk, as the UV-C rays are totally stopped by the glass surface.
The devices are delivered directly to the address indicated at the time of the order with the installation guides. The installation is very simple and can be done by the user, who can call on the technical service if necessary.
The cost of a replacement lamp is 485€ excluding VAT.
The UV-C radiation is not very penetrating. Its efficiency will be limited to a surface treatment. It is therefore not possible to guarantee the total disinfection of a mask.
To control the disinfection of aerosols, it is advisable not to generate draughts and therefore to close the windows. In addition, the window panes will block the spread of radiation outside the room and therefore prevent passers-by or neighbors from being exposed to UV radiation. Finally, air currents could cause objects (e.g. sheets of paper) to move around the room and trigger the UVMasterCare's motion detectors, thus interrupting the treatment.
The aerosols will spread in the room but, a priori, no air movement will contribute to a suction that could lead to a deposit inside the drawers.
Yes, this is the proof that the system works well in a room that contained a lot of aerosol. Indeed, the UVmastercare system generates a radiation with a powerful oxidizing effect. The tests carried out in our laboratories have shown that in a room which was disinfected several times, the smell disappeared completely because there was no more material to oxidize in suspension.
The UVMasterCare is equipped with a handle for easy handling. It is not recommended to touch the quartz tube protecting the UV lamp. Indeed, the film of grease which will be deposited in contact with the fingers will constitute a micro filtering layer capturing a part of the UV radiation. A dirty quartz will contribute to a decrease in efficiency. Cleaning is done with a damp cloth and a glass-ceramic cleaner.
A distinction must be made between the quartz protection tube and the UV lamp itself. The UVC tube and the quartz tube should not be cleaned.
No. The UVC lamp and the quartz tube must never be touched. Fingerprints reduce the effectiveness of the treatment and immediately after a treatment the temperature of the tubes can cause burns if they come into direct contact with the skin.
In addition to the pathogen genetic material destroying wavelength of 254 nm, some UV lamps can produce ozone by emitting 185 nm radiation. This is not the case with the UV technology selected for the UVMasterCare. Three UV technologies generate different effects. The UVMasterCare technology guarantees an optimal efficiency for the germicidal wavelength (UV-C) and, apart from a little blue showing when the lamp is switched on, does not emit any other radiation. The more traditional technologies contribute to the emission of a broad spectrum ranging from blue to ozone emitting wavelengths through UV-A and UV-B. Finally, some lamps used in water treatment are calibrated to intentionally generate ozone. These lamps must be used under controlled conditions and are therefore not recommended for use in dental practices. Ozone is indeed dangerous, it is an irritant gas, and it is not recommended to be exposed to air levels above 120µg/m³ for long periods. Knowing that an ozone generating lamp can produce grams of ozones per hour, the danger of this type of equipment is obvious. Equipment that claims to improve disinfection by generating ozone and only advocates simple ventilation of the room after use should be avoided.
The lamps are guaranteed for 2 years.
In the room where the panoramic X-rays are performed, there are no aerosols produced. Therefore, it is not necessary to disinfect them with the UVmastercare system. However, if you are in doubt, you can of course place the UVmaster172 unit in the room to perform a short (2′) treatment.
